RUF is a community striving to love God, love people, love Rhodes College, and love the city of Memphis.

Large Groups, Small Groups, One-on-One’s, and Events on and off campus, RUF at Rhodes is a community open to any and all.

Our Mission

RUF exists to be a space where students may find fellowship, worship God, serve the greater college community, and grow in their knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ and His work on their behalf.  All Rhodes students are welcome regardless of personal or religious background. We welcome the “convinced” and the “unconvinced” and invite all students, no matter who they are, to RUF.

How we do this

  • Large Groups

    • Worship on Wednesday Nights at 8:30p in Hyde Hall (turn right as you enter the RAT)

    • Campus Events

      • Barn Dance, Homecoming and Parent’s Weekend Tailgates, S.A.C.K. Fair, Tacky Prom, Crawfish boil, with plenty of others!

    • Conferences

      • Every year, RUF at Rhodes goes to at least two RUF conferences:

        • Winter Confernce located in Jasper, GA with 15+ other RUF’s and their students!

        • Summer Conference located in Panama City Florida with 25+ other RUF’s and their Students!

  • Small Groups

    • Bible Studies for coed, female, male, under and upperclassman

    • Meals on and off campus, movie outings, service projects, and much more!

    • Movie Nights, Game Nights, Quad Fridays, much more!

  • One-on-One’s

    • Whether it’s our Campus Minister, Campus Staff, or Intern, every one-on-one can look different!

    • We’ll eat in the Rat, go to a local coffee shop, grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner, go bowling, go for a walk, and so much more.

  • Missions and Service

    • Local or global mission trip over a Rhodes Spring Break

    • Opportunities for students to serve Rhodes and the City of Memphis.
